Summary

The CALICE Collaboration

A new concept of high granularity hadronic calorimeter based on
semi-digital readout for future ILC experiments is presented. The
readout of the sensitive medium using a chain of detector-embedded
low-consumption tiny 64-channel chips was realized and tested. The
nice results obtained using GRPC as a sensitive medium readout
with four
chained chips show that the concept was successful and could be
extended to large area detector.
