GRM4 Workshop Policy.
In pursuing its objectives, the Workshop organizers oppose any discrimination on the basis of such factors as ethnic origin, religion, nationality, disability, physical appearance, political stance, gender, or age.
The GRM4 Committees recognise the positive impact that a conference speaking invitation has on the track record and visibility of its delegates. We also recognise that some sections of the scientific community are often under-represented in conference programs, and that this can affect diversity in the long-term. Our policies were developed to ensure quality and equality.
SPEAKER INVITATION POLICY
Invitations for GRM4 invited speakers will be made to high quality researchers that represent the broad diversity of our community. We aim to achieve a balance across geography, gender and experience.
FUNDING POLICY
INFN and University of Pisa provide funding support for the GRM4 Workshop . This funding policy means that we can keep the registration fee as low as possible for all attendees, to help ensure a successful conference. PhD students will not pay the workshop fee. Yuan-Ling Memorial Fund will partially support the travel costs of graduate students who need fund to attend the Workshop. We are also seeking sponsorship of poster prizes for PhD students.
FEEDBACK
We welcome feedback from workshop participant on this policy and how it might be improved for future conferences to better ensure quality and diversity.
