Description

I will present some perspectives on the use of defects in Quantum Field Theory, with an emphasis on gauge theories. Defects admit a variety of realizations within this class of models. I will contrast and compare some of the available approaches, show examples from a few recent projects, and describe an ongoing program which aims to extend and unify them.
