Minutes:

Overall in the discussion it was determined, that the source that is measured by femtoscopy is only a mean distance of the interaction between nucleons. In light of the latest Results by Bhawani the deuteron might form at the same time as the nucleons, and as such the nucleons forming the deuteron might "feel" a shorter distance than is probed by femtoscopy. This is to be investigated in the future.

Sushanta & Maxi:

  • After some discussions what is required to study the source properly is the x,y,z and t distributions of primordial and final state particles from pythia and EPOS

Maxi:

  • produce the x,y,z,t plot for EPOS also with propagation scheme
  • make a plot of the distance that the initial vertices need to be replaced by to recover the measured source
  • study the decrease in source size that would be required to perfectly reproduce the deuteron spectrum 
  • This could reuqire more than simply linearly decreasing the source since the coalescence probability does not depend linearly on the source

Sushanta: 

  • The shape of the p+pbar pT spectium has a discontinuity at low pT (starting ~1GeV)
  • It looks like an overlayed narrow spectrum is superimposed over the regular pT spectrum
  • produce pT spectrum of primordial Protons and of primordial Delta/N* Resonances (differential by species)
  • This is to aid us in understanding of the odd shape is 
    • a) present in primordial protons
    • b) stemming from a single (group of) Resonance(s)
  • Make a resonance Cocktail in pythia:
