A limited number of grants will be awarded, based on a selection made by the SOC. The grants are funded through the Gruber prize in cosmology, which was awarded to the Planck collaboration in 2018. If awarded, the grants will cover accommodation expenses (the hotel will be booked and pre-paid by the conference secretariat), all lunches and coffee breaks at the workshop, as well as the social dinner. No fee will be charged to awardees. Travel expenses (airfare, train, bus etc.) will be reimbursed upon presentation of tickets, up to a total amount of 500 € (1000 € if travelling from outside Europe). Grants are not meant to cover online participants. The grants will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- scientific merit (abstract of proposed contribution; accepted contributions ranked higher)
- career stage: early career scientists ranked higher
- involvement in an ongoing and/or future CMB experiment
- lack of other sources of funding
