Description

Morphological counterpart of X-ray, synchrotron, dust and HI emission in North Polar Spur (NPS) area and Fermi-Bubbles (FB) suggests their shared genesis. Numerical simulations though indicate that the neighborhood of HI and dust loops from one side and X-ray from the other are not unconditionally consistent. I argue that scanning of dust emission in the NPS region with the NIKA-2 camera will play a crucial role in disentangling between contributions from energetic events in the local ISM and activity of the central engine, and as such can enlighten the origin of the FB in its relation to the NPS and other high energy phenomena in the Galactic center.
