Minutes of the Meeting [23 Nov. 2007]

present : G. Batignani, P. Bernabeu, M. Ciuchini, R. Faccini, T. Gershon,
M. Giorgi, D. Hitlin, A. Lusiani, F. Martinez, A. Oyanguren,
M. Roney, M. A. Sanchis Lozano, A. Stocchi.
Jose discussed about logistic. The meeting will start on
Monday 7th January at 15h. We have 5 rooms for 10-15 people
for parallel sessions and a bigger one for plenary sessions.
Fees are fixed to 100Euros including coeffe breaks, lunch
(all together) + official dinner at the Aquarium.
The excursion on Sunday is optional.
Valencia people proposed the following time arragement :
Monday afternoon Introduction
From Tue. to Fri. Parallel sessions
Saturday Working Groups presentations
They proposed that each day a working group is presenting in turn
the status of advancement of their activities.
The use of the last two days, Monday 14th and Tue. 15th has to be
still discussed.
The poster of the meeting has been prepared. Very nice !
The web page with registration procedure will be opened soon.
Marcello had a short discussion with Jacques LeFrancois, the
questions from the IRC are not yet officially available.
He discussed also with Roberto Petronzio which would like to
have few notes written from the work done for/in the Valencia
meeting, possibly oriented to answering the IRC questions.
SuperB notes are now officially approuved by INFN. For the time
being the policy is that these notes have to be submitted to
the SC which acts as a Pubblication Board for the approuval.
Long discussion started on the working groups.
Four Working Groups have been approuved
- tau physics including both LFV and observable where polarized
beams could be important.
Formal Babar conveners : A. Lusiani and M. Roney are available
to lead the group. Pisa, Caltech, Valencia groups are ready to
work on this group.
Marco will discuss with A. Masiero, Calippi, G. Isidori
and P. Paradisi to involve them in the group activities.
- Charm physics. Centered on CP violation in D0 mixing.
D. Anser is available to conveene this group. I. Bigi,
G. Batignani, N. Neri will be also involved in the activities.
The name of S. Bondar was made as an important person to have
in Valencia. He will be contacted. Same for A. Palano.
- Spectroscopy. A. Polosa, P. Santorelli, D. Bernard will get
together to organise this group.
- B Physics observable sensitive to NP. M. Ciuchini, T. Gershon,
A. Stocchi are available to lead this group which will be formed
by different subgroups to address specific channels as for
instance b-->s gamma. J. Walsh is available to work on b--> s gamma.
Pepe asked to have a better look to b--> s nu nubar channel.
M. Ciuchini and L. Silvestrini have already started to
work on extrapolating the Snowmass points to lower scale.
- Tools. Not yet clear if a group will be formed for Valencia.
Marcello, Tim and Achille will discuss with Morandin on Monday 26th.
A meeting is foressen at SLAC on 6th December.
An important point arised by D. Hitlin is that current software
(as Pravda for fast simulation) has to be made accessible for outside
babar people.
Next meeting on Friday 30th at 17h (with usual number).
