Minutes from Super B PID meeting, Thursday, May 21, 2009 1. P. Krizan sent a brief e-mail with the following update: - MCP-PMT aging test has started today by remeasuring the efficiency vs wavelength and starting the led light source exposure - MAPMTs of the HERA-B RICH: we now have data for seven PMTs from a less exposed part of the counter - after a rough check, there does not seem to be any difference. We still have to measure seven tubes from the most exposed part, but that will have to wait until the aging tests have been finished, since the same set-up is used for both studies. 2. E. Kravchenko reported on MC study of a process Y(4S)->BB with one B->Xlnu. The motivation is to search for processes where the forward PID could help to increase efficiency of the analysis. He included the results. 3. J. Vavra summarized status of the PID R&D at SLAC. This included the (a) FDIRC prototype study in CRT, (b) laser study of TOF with a Target chip, (c) needs for MC study of FDIRC prototype, and (d) study to design a new compact SOB.
