o SLAC (Jerry)
- description of the cosmic rays telescope
- need to interact with him and Gary to make sure prototypes of electronic boards to
be tested at this facility have the proper connections and talk to the DAQ
o Ljubljana (Peter) :
- scanning setup to test MaPMTs ready
- tests will start next week
- first results foreseen for next meeting
- setup using cosmic rays in progress -- lower priority
- no news regarding the aging study of HERA-B MaPMTs
o Novosibirsk (Evgeniy):
- Alexei at Padova for 2 weeks
- will work on implementing in FastSim a forward detector based on Aerogel
- Evgeniy will post information about the simulated PID efficiencies next week
- the width of such detector should be ~15cm
- test beam facility scheduled for the end of the year
- tests with SiPMTs ongoing; issues with electronics
o Maryland (Doug):
- work on the PMT scanning setup
- collaboration with local CMS group
- got money from dpt. and university
- space allowed and being cleaned up
- purchases will start next week
- grad. and undergrad. hired for the Summer to setup and run this facility
o Cinci (Brian via e-mail):
(...) Since the last meeting, I have started to make some of the standalone simulations I had planned. These involve single tracks entering the Dirc bar array and the time of photon flight to the present Dirc PMT positions is recorded. I am writing an ntuple and plan to make an analysis of the information in terms both of TOF and Cherenkov theta. The plan will be to try to parametrize the results and build them into a new module in FastSim. (...)
