Description
I will present results for light and strange baryons in the Dyson-Schwinger/Bethe-Salpeter approach. Their ground-state properties obtained from three-quark and quark-diquark calculations agree well, and with a few exceptions also the excited-state spectra can be well reproduced and interpreted from their underlying diquark structure. The formalism provides a path towards addressing multiquark systems and as an example I will discuss the case of the light scalar mesons.
