Description
In this talk I will review the progress achieved by lattice QCD
simulations on our understanding of the equilibrium properties
of strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions.
I will focus on the QCD phase diagram for high T and small chemical
potentials, considering also the effects of strong magnetic
background fields on the hot medium.
