Social Program
Two main social events will be organized during the workshop.
On Wednesday 19 October the sessions will be hosted at the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) in Cascina, near Pisa. A transportation by bus will be organized to bring the participants to EGO. After the first session of the afternoon, the participants will have the opportunity to visit the Virgo interferometer, thanks to a guided tour to the various areas and subsystems of the detector.
On Thursday 20 October, there will be an organized guided tour to the city, including a walk on the old city walls of Pisa and the visit of Piazza dei Miracoli.
On the same day, the program will include the social dinner at the historical Royal Victoria Hotel which offers unrivalled views of the Arno River.
