Description
The LHC Run II has just started, following the successful completion of the many activities of the Long Shutdown 1, which stopped the machine for about two years. The performance achieved will be presented and reviewed in detail with special focus on the beam dynamics aspects that have dominated the 2015 physics run. The performance expected for 2016 will be also discussed together with the long-term future of the LHC ring based on the High-Luminosity upgrade project.
