The purpose of the workshop is to provide an overview of the scientific program that will be carried out in Hall B at Jefferson Lab with the new CLAS12 detector that is being designed to operate after the upgrade of the Jefferson Lab accelerator to 12 GeV. The sessions will cover the presently established physics program and experimental apparatus as well as new ideas for physics topics that can be addressed with the new facility and for detector components that may enhance the capabilities of CLAS12. The workshop will be the opportunity for physicists from the broader nuclear and hadronic physics communities to learn about the capabilities offered by the CLAS12 facility and to explore possible ways to collaborate and contribute to the 12 GeV physics program at Jefferson Lab. In parallel to the Workshop, a meeting of the present CLAS collaboration will take place with a special format that foresees ample space for presenting forefront analysis results, status of the current run, updates on the undergoing analysis efforts.
