Weekly Meeting

Europe/Rome
Davide Fiorina (GSSI & INFN)

● DavideP report

First GEM stack in N2 atmosphere since 29/04

HV On since 30/04 (2.5 kV/cm + VGEM = 500V) with local version of DAQ

Today 15.30 Meeting with referee: https://agenda.infn.it/event/52170/

● Elisabetta report

  • LIME Copper storage: I will take a photo of the target zone where to stock the LIME Copper and ask again to Jan Harms

● DavideF report

  • Cathodes: shipment of the new cathodes is ongoing. Assembly should be scheduled as soon as they arrive at LNF.

  • Second GEM stack: assembled successfully, but a short on the second foil was identified. A dedicated tool is needed to isolate the shorted GEM sector and resolve the issue; afterwards, tensioning and validation will proceed.

  • Field cage / Nylon66 structure: the field cage has been unmounted because the short Nylon66 bar positions interfere with the source calibration path. The new positions have been defined; Daniele now needs to update the original CAD, after which the pieces will be machined, cleaned, and remounted, hopefully within this week.

  • Field cage foil: the test assembly was successful. Once the Nylon66 bars are retrofitted, the final installation can proceed.

  • Copper box drawings: Cesidio is expected to provide feedback this week on the constructive drawings of the copper box.

● Giorgio report

Analysis

  • Meeting with Australians postponed to this week
  • Melba is working on finding NR on Run4 lowgain
  • New student from Brasil is trying to move on from Giuseppe's work on track finding from images
  • More quantitative measurement of saturation of V-bonded GEMs and improvement from previous GEMs

LNF

  • PMT testing is over
  • 20 characterized PMTs and working 6 were old and broken by helium

● Stefano report

Trigger Module:

  • integration of the MIDAS frontend: done and tested
  • integration of the software update as a consequence of the trigger update: done and testes
  • Channel 0 is not properly being processed: Herman believes it's a firmware related issue and he's working on that
  • AND and OR logic: not working as expected, Herman is working on that
  • TRG EXT function: the output signal shows very annoying bounces that must be solved as TRG EXT is a feature we are probably going to use a lot

● Giulia report

  • Improved LIME simulation: New source window provided by DavideP. I'm trying to run a simulation to see the effect
  • I am asking for feedback about Emanuele's work on the data corrections
  • I talked with Fabrizio and explained to him how to sum the CYGNO04 simulation, he will try to run some of them and I will try to analyse them
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
