Description
It will be shown how the singularity structure shapes the evolution of
birational discrete systems, suggesting changes of variables which automatically provide us with exact evaluation of the algebraic entropy, (generalised) Hirota type of description, and remarkable factorisation properties beyond 'Laurentness'.
