Description
The energy and structure of dilute hard-and soft-sphere gases is studied in the framework of several many-body approaches, for Bose and Fermi statistics. The effects of correlations on the distribution function, momentum distribution and excitation spectrum are discussed as a function of the gas parameter. In the case Fermi case, we also investigate the existence of a ferromagnetic transition showing that our microscopic calculation shifts the transition to high densities.
