Description
When compactifying string theory from ten to four dimensions, many so-called moduli fields appear. One of these moduli can serve as the inflaton, however, all other fields have to be stabilized (and thereby become massive). In order to combine inflation and moduli stabilization in string theory, non-trivial constraints have to be satisfied. In this talk, I explain this question and illustrate it with a particular example.
