Description
Over the past fifteen years we have witnessed excellent progress but we still don’t have a theory of flavour: why three families, what is the reason for the observed pattern of mixing, why quarks and leptons show such a striking different patterns among themselves? Can we uncover New Physics from precision flavour studies? A new round of experiments is underway. Beauty, Charm and Strange mesons are being investigated with unprecedented precision. The speaker will briefly review the state-of-the-art and the status of the latest experiments and the prospects for the near and medium term future.
