The Cold Universe: from laboratory spectroscopy to space-based instruments

First an overview will be given of the activities of the Cold Universe department at the CESR. Work is presently centred on the forthcoming Planck/Herschel mission. The second part will concentrate on my own interests that concern providing laboratory molecular spectral data for radio and far infrared astronomy in particular for HIFI and ALMA with focus on molecular complexity in star formation.
