Description
Knowing the Higgs cross section to the highest possible accuracy is of fundamental importance for the LHC physics programme. However, the QCD perturbative expansion of the Higgs inclusive cross section in gluon fusion (the dominant production mechanism) has the worst perturbative behaviour ever seen in collider physics, with huge K-factors at NLO and NNLO (the current state-of-the-art accuracy). I will present recent results at approximate NNNLO and to all orders at NNNLL, based on soft-gluon and high-energy resummations, which lead to a significant reduction on the theoretical uncertainty for this process, improving the reliability of the theory prediction.
