Description
The measurement of the neutrino masses and their mixtures, obtained through the study of the transformations of their flavor (oscillations), is no less important than that of quarks. There are still a number of objectives to be achieved, including the determination of the mass hierarchy, the rate of CP violation, the study of the nature of the masses, the search for hypothetical neutral fermions that play a role in the observable phenomena. In this seminar, a general overview of these topics is offered, outlining the interesting (although at the moment purely speculative) connections between the neutrino masses and the origin of matter that forms stars and atoms.
