Description
In 2006 Son et al. proposed a new phenomenological approach to model the theory of strong interactions, based on the AdS/CFT correspondence conjectured by Maldacena some years before. By exploiting some features of the correspondence, they developed a framework in which QCD-like features can be studied through a dual semiclassical perturbative model. One of the most interesting and promising applications is towards modeling finite temperature and density physics. Indeed, AdS/QCD is able to describe regions of the phase diagram of QCD-like models barely accessible by other methods. I will show how to compute quantities in this framework, namely meson spectral functions, thermodynamic functions, and condensates.
