Description
In this speculative talk it is argued that a phenomenon of dynamical mass generation for fermions, driven by the Wilson term, occurs in lattice QCD with Wilson quarks. This observation is supported by theoretical arguments and numerical evidence. Its potential implications for the solution of the fine tuning problem and the construction of a variant
of the Standard Model with a new, superstrongly interacting sector and dynamically generated masses for the elementary particles are discussed.
