The Travel

Workshop transportation

You can reach the Meetings site in the following ways:

• By plane to Pisa or Rome airports, and then using the meeting buses provided.
• By train to Piombino Marittima, ferry-boat to Portoferraio. A meeting shuttle will be available upon request to connect participants to the meeting site from the Portoferraio harbour.
• By car to Piombino, ferry-boat to Portoferraio, a short drive to La Biodola (10km). Since parking is limited at the Hotel Hermitage, we encourage participants to use the meeting buses as much as possible. 

Workshop buses will connect the Workshop site to Roma Airport "Leonardo da Vinci" (FCO) - and to Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei" (PSA). Below you find a final schedule:

Tuesday,  May 20^th: destination Hotel Hermitage

• from Roma airport "L. Da Vinci" at 9:30
  
• from Pisa airport "G. Galilei" at 11:00

Wednesday, May 21^st: destination Hotel Hermitage

• from Roma airport "L. Da Vinci" at 14:00
  The meeting point for participants is at the Information Desk of the International Arrivals of Terminal 3, in the hall located in front of the baggage claim area (see the map)
• from Pisa airport "G. Galilei" at 16:30
  The meeting point for participants is at the International Arrivals gate, in the main hall of the airport (see the map)

There will be somebody of the Organizing Committee waiting for you about at the meeting points about one hour before the workshop bus departure.

Saturday, May 24^th: origin Hotel Hermitage

• to Roma airport "L. Da Vinci" at 15:00 (expected arrival at 20:30)
• to Pisa airport "G. Galilei" at 15:00 (expected arrival at 18:00)

Pisa Central Station - Pisa Airport transfer will be provided by the PisaMover Bus service with a timetable departure of every 10 minutes and  a journey time of just 8 minutes.
At Pisa Central Station, the stop is located close to platform 14, from which you can easily reach the other platforms and station’s main entrance.
