Description
The capability of ALICE detector to reconstruct neutral strange baryons is of great importance as the strangeness enhancement was one of the first proposed signals for the QGP formation. The production of Lambda and Antilambda strange barions is studied in proton-proton collisions at center of mass energy s = 2.76, 7 and 8 TeV at ALICE detector in LHC. These hyperons are reconstructed from their V0 decay topologies. Some basic kinematic properties like invariant mass distribution, decay length, polarization and its life time is calculated. Multiplicity of Lambas and Antilambdas production are also analyzed. Monte-Carlo simulated data was used for comparison.
