Description
Precision measurements in nuclear beta decay offer a sensitive window to search for New Physics. The associated bounds will be reviewed and compared with LHC searches. I will discuss the non-standard hadronic form factors needed, showing the relation with the nucleon mass splitting due only to the quark mass difference. The implications of recent lattice calculations of this splitting for new physics searches will be analyzed.
