The role of EW corrections in indirect DM searches

by Paolo Ciafaloni (LE)

Description
Radiative electroweak corrections are known to grow with energy from the few permille level at the 100 GeV scale typical of LEP up to the 10-20% level at the TeV scale. On top of the importance of this feature for LHC physics, it has been recently shown that these corrections also have a significant impact on the energy spectra of stable Standard Model particles arising from Dark Matter annihiation/decay in our Galaxy. I discuss these issues and give a few relevant examples.
