Description
The observation of a Higgs boson with a mass of about 125 GeV by the ATLAS and CMS experiments is a great success of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) physics program and confirms the existence of a new fundamental particle related to the mechanism of electro-weak symmetry breaking, predicted almost 50 yeas ago.
In the seminar, I'll present the current status of the Higgs particle measurements by the ATLAS collaboration, its properties and coupling with other SM particles. The future prospects to improve the understanding of the Higgs sector during the following years in the frame of the LHC project and beyond will also be discussed.
