Proton as viewed in the Wide angle Compton scattering

Photon scattering is a nice tool for the investigation of any particle structure. However, interpretation of the data requires knowledge of the interaction mechanism. The JLab WACS experiment for the first time provided evidence for a single quark dominance in the WCAS process at several GeV energy regime. I am going to review the results of the experiment and its implications. The plan for further measurements in the 12-GeV era will also be presented.
