Description
We shall first motivate why string theory becomes an essential tool to understand different properties of a hydrodynamic system. Then we talk about different holographic techniques which help us to calculate various transport coefficients of a fluid system using the properties of black hole physics. We also discuss about current status of the subject. The discussion will be very basic, mainly for non-string audience.
