IRIDE (Interdisciplinary Research Infrastructure based on a Dual Electron Linac&Laser) is a new multipurpose facility presently under consideration at INFN, based on a combination of a high duty cycle radio-frequency superconducting electron linac (SC RF LINAC) and of high energy laser. It will be able to produce a high flux of electrons (with energies up to few GeV), photons (with energies up to 60 MeV), neutrons, protons and positrons, that will be available for a wide national and international scientific community interested to take profit of the most worldwide advanced particle and radiation sources. The meeting will discuss the particle physics of IRIDE to understand how IRIDE can be complementary and competitive with current or future projects under consideration in other laboratories. The outcome of the meeting will be very useful to better define the physics case of this facility in view of a White Book, which is expected by Summer 2013.
