Supersymmetry breaking and mediation in string models

I review the mechanism of supersymmetry breaking and mediation in a class of string theoretic models and then discuss their phenomenological consequences. Of particular interest is a correlation between the Higgs mass and the dark matter density, but the model predicts that given the 126 GeV Higgs mass the supersymmetric partners of the standard model will be essentially unobservable at the LHC.
