Description
I will first review basic aspects of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM). I will then introduce the breaking of supersymmetry and the mechanism to mediate this breaking to the MSSM from an hidden sector via gauge interactions. I will discuss the impact of the Higgs discovery on this scenario, and describe the present status of gauge mediation of supersymmetry breaking (GMSB). I will then focus on identifying the region of the parameter space of GMSB that are still compatible with the experiments and their phenomenological properties.
