Description
The talk is devoted to the theoretical description of magnetic properties of ferrofluids, which are the stable colloidal dispersion of nanoscaled magnetic particles suspended in neutral liquid careers. For low intensity of the interparticle magnetic dipole-dipole interaction the modified mean-field model describes very accurately the magnetization curves, the temperature and the concentration dependencies of the ferrofluids initial magnetic susceptibility. In the region of the chain formation of magnetic particles (low concentration and rather high dipolar coupling constant) the flexible chain model demonstrates a high efficiency. Comparison between aforementioned theories, experimental data and the simulation results is presented.
