Description
We will present 'jasmine', a massively parallel multi GPU particle in cell code, and show its performance benefits for simulating laser plasma accelerator physics on CINECA PLX and ROMA1 QUonG clusters. We will discuss the challenges we have taken up for being able to exploit the computational power of such architectures. Focus will be put on the simulation demands by the experiments at INFN SPARCLAB and on the physics and numerical methods implemented in the code.
