Abstract:
Rare $b \to s$ transitions provide a sensitive window to physics beyond the Standard Model through loop-level electroweak penguin processes. Among them, decays with a neutrino--antineutrino pair in the final state are theoretically clean and serve as benchmark modes for testing the Standard Model. Building on the first evidence for $B^+ \to K^+ \nu\bar
$ at Belle II, this seminar reviews the experimental strategy and key challenges of such measurements, including background suppression and signal extraction in final states with missing energy.
Motivated by this program, we discuss ongoing and recent Belle II analyses targeting complementary channels with enhanced sensitivity to new physics. These include searches for inclusive $B \to X_s \nu\bar
$ decays, which offer reduced dependence on hadronic form factors, as well as searches for $B \to K^
\tau^+ \tau^-$, where the presence of third-generation leptons probes different operator structures. Together, these measurements provide a coherent framework to test the flavor structure of the Standard Model and to constrain possible
