Description
This will be a general talk addressing three immediate issues:
1) The latest analysis of the Higgs search at CMS using the totality of '11 and '12 data, focusing on the two channels with highest expected signal-to-noise ratio.
2) The upgrades to the detector scheduled for 2013-14 to enhance CMS sensitivity.
3) The prospect of constructing an electron "circular-linear" collider on top of the LHC ring for precision studies of the new low-mass object.
