General news:

  • Adithyan will discuss with Michael if he can take over the talk from Yanwen. Action: Send an email as soon as there is an answer.
  • Next week in Naples discuss priorities and tasks assignments

 

Round table:

Adithyan:

  • Selecting 4th plane tracks and good quality tracks resolve the issue of the cluster size 1 being too big.
  • Andrea: better not to use the the chi2 cut on the 4th track, because it's an implicit cut on momentum. Adithyan: I tried with chi2 3p but then I was still having the issue with slustersize 1. Andrea: you can tune the chi2 cut (make it tighter) and probably that will solve the issue. Suggestion: Compare chi2 of 3 points tracks without hit on 4th plane vs 4th point tracks. This should give a value of the chi2 3p threshold that removes most of the junk.
  • Alice: what is the chi2 variable name? Best chi2 4p
  • Problem on plane Y4 observed in the number of 4p tracks with clustersize 2 and path lenght factor do not actually correct, but distort the deposited energy.
  • The path lenght correction is validate in simulation were it works very well.
  • Old photoelectron values were used. Gabor: new photoelectron values are available.
  • Action: Alice: Redo it with new 1phe values, put the codes on GitLab

Dora:

  • Standardize angle definition in Naples
  • Alice: ~7% of the triggering events are 4p particles, but in data it's just 3%, why? Andrea: A certain portion on events in Data is due to backgrounds that are not yet taken into account in the simulation and that in Data are filtered out requiring a 4plane track, so it's normal that the fraction of 4p particles is higher in MC.

 

Gabor:

  • 1phe values available for 100 runs. List released on Matermost and Teams
  • 1 benchmark is made by 24runs, different benchmark for each telescope.
  • Waiting for the MURAVES HDD to run the checks over the rest of the data samples

 

Alice:

  • Run PCA over 24 runs - vulcano oriented - 4p tracks only 
  • 10 PCs has ~60% of the full variance of the data
  • No significant clusters are observed
  • Old 1phe values were used. Action: rerun with new 1phe values and compare results
  • Action: include PCs in reconstructed root file
