Description
We investigate the propagation of an entangled two-photon beam through the turbulent atmosphere. The two-photon beam is generated by spontaneous parametric down-conversion in collinear type 1 phase matching. The turbulent atmosphere is simulated in a tabletop hot-air chamber. We show that under a suitable coordinate transformation, the fourth-order profile of the two-photon beam is insensitive to turbulence in the weak (beam pointing fluctuation) regime.
