Description
Photonic path states, produced when photon pairs cross multiple slits, allowed us to study the generation of high dimension qudits states, measurement of its photonic path state entanglement and its characterization. Recently, an entanglement criteria was introduced for modular variables that are composed of the integer and remainder components of a limitless continuous variable, such as the position X or momentum. Modular variables naturally arise in interference effects, and provide a natural way to convert a continuous variable into a discrete component and a range-limited continuous component. As such, these variables sho! uld find application in continuous-variable quantum information processing.
