Description

Abstract:

In the Standard Model of Particle Physics, elementary particles acquire their masses through the Brout-Englert-Higgs mechanism. Studying the Higgs boson interaction with itself, also referred to as “Higgs self-coupling”, is crucial to the understanding of the Higgs potential. At the LHC, the Higgs boson self-coupling strength can be directly probed using the production of the Higgs boson pairs. In this seminar, I will present the progress and prospect of the HH searches of the CMS experiment at the LHC.
