Training on OAuth2/OpenID Connect
Course Objectives and Targets
The course aims to provide a basic understanding of how to use INDIGO IAM, a service that issues access tokens in JWT format and adheres to the OAuth2/OpenID Connect protocols. It has been developed by the software development group at INFN-CNAF.
The course is intended for technologists and researchers who use or manage distributed computing resources and services and who have used or will use tokens, particularly with INDIGO IAM as the provider. INDIGO IAM is already used in several projects in which INFN participates and is a central pillar in managing Authentication and Authorization for WLCG experiments.
To provide this foundation, the course will begin with a technical overview of OAuth2/OpenID Connect technologies to introduce the use of JWT tokens for accessing services.
