We present the new nCTEQ26 release of nuclear parton distribution functions, incorporating theoretical and phenomenological developments achieved by the nCTEQ collaboration over the past decade. We compare the resulting PDFs with those from other groups and discuss prospects for future progress, in particular in light of upcoming data from the LHC and the Electron-Ion Collider.
