Description
In this talk, I will discuss testing quantum entanglement and Bell nonlocality at the Electron-Ion Collider through quark-antiquark pair production via photon-gluon fusion. Longitudinally polarized photons produce maximal entanglement at leading order, while transversely polarized photons generate significant entanglement near threshold and at ultra-relativistic energies. The EIC's clean experimental environment offers unique advantages for measuring entanglement and verifying Bell nonlocality, opening new avenues to explore quantum information phenomena in hadronic physics. In addition, quantum entanglement may serve as a quantifiable tool to probe the properties of the nuclear environment and hadrons.
