Vietri (from Veteri, its ancient Roman name) sul Mare (on the sea) is located within walking distance from Salerno and marks the beginning of the world-wide famous Amalfi Coast. It can be reached in one hour, by bus/train from Naples Airport and in three hours from Rome Airport. Short rides, by bus/train take to Positano, Sorrento, Herculaneum, Pompei, Paestum, Vesuvius or, by boat, to the islands of Capri, Ischia, Procida.

• From North
- motorway A3 (Napoli - Salerno) exit Vietri Sul Mare
- motorway A30 (Caserta - Salerno) exit Mercato San Severino, take turn off for the Avellino - Salerno motorway towards Salerno, then motorway A3 SA-RC towards Salerno, exit Salerno centro, then follow the directions for Costiera Amalfitana. Hotel Lloyd's Baia is in 2 km in Vietri sul Mare
• From South
- motorway A17 (Napoli – Bari) exit Avellino Est, take Avellino–Salerno motorway towards Salerno, then motorway A3 SA-RC towards Salerno, exit Salerno centro, then follow the directions for Costiera Amalfitana. Hotel Lloyd's Baia is in 2 km in Vietri sul Mare.
By train from Naples
From Naples airport (Capodichino) to Napoli Centrale station take the Alibus (airport shuttle every 20 minutes). Then:
a) Direct train from Naples (Napoli Piazza Garibaldi) to Vietri Sul Mare.
b) Train from Napoli Centrale to Salerno + Train from Salerno to Vietri Sul Mare.
By train from Rome
From Rome (Roma Termini station) there are several trains to Salerno, and then from Salerno to Vietri sul Mare.
By bus from Salerno
- From the railway station (Piazza Ferrovia) take the SITA bus direction Vietri sul Mare.
- (100 mt. from the railway station) take the SITA bus, direction Amalfi, stop in Vietri sul Mare.
By plane
International airport Naples Capodichino, (shuttle bus service - Alibus - links the airport with the central railway station in Naples at Piazza Garibaldi); from there either SITA bus to Salerno or Vietri sul Mare or train Naples-Salerno or Naples-Vietri sul Mare.
