The scientific sessions of the conference will be organized in the "Conference Hall" of the Department of Physics and Astronomy located in Via S. Sofia n. 64, Catania.
Transports
From Airport to city center
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
You can take the bus "ALIBUS" by the public transport company AMTS of Catania that will take you from the airport to the city center. The bus stop is located just outside the "Fontanarossa" Airport (Arrivals), about 30 meters to the right (click on this link). The ALIBUS runs from 4:40 AM until 00:30 AM (approximately every 20 minutes), and connets the airport to the city center and the central train station, stopping near several hotels. Ticket cost: €5 (it can be purchased on board or in the AMTS app).

Taxis are available at all times outside the airport. Costs typically range from €20 to €35 (depending on your destination). Remember to call in advance! They will tell you the name of the taxi that will pick you up.
Important: Radio Taxis pick you up on the Departures level (first floor), not at the Arrivals level (ground floor), where other taxi companies operate.
From city center to the venue
You can take the bus BRT1 at the bus stop located in via Etnea close to the Anfiteatro Romano di Catania, that will take you from the city center to the bus stop closest to the Physics Department (that can be reached from the bus stop in 4 minutes on foot).
To reach the city center from the department just take again the BRT1 at this bus stop, and it will take you to the bus stop nearest to Piazza Stesicoro.
