Genoa Airport

The closest airport is Genova Airport.

The Genoa Airport "Cristoforo Colombo" is linked to the "Sestri Ponente Aeroporto" railway station by the Airlink shuttle service. Airlink operates one ride every 15 minutes from 6.00 am to 10 pm. You can use the Airlink service with a normal bus ticket (1,5 euros) or the bus+train local ticket (1,6 euros), and with a tourist ticket (more information on the AMT website).

Alternatively, the Genoa airport is also linked to the main railway stations in Genoa (Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole) by bus with the Volabus service. The ticket can be bought on the bus, online, or at several bus ticket resellers for 5 euro or 6 euro (depending on the method of purchase).  The timetable can be found at this link.

Pisa Airport

The second closest airport is Pisa Airport.

The airport is 1 km away from the main railway station in Pisa, to which is linked by the new People Mover service. 

Milan Airport

The number of flights to the Genova airport is quite limited. 

The largest airports nearby are Milan airports (Malpensa, Linate, or Orio al Serio/Bergamo). They are connected to the central railway station in Milan "Milano Centrale" by several train and bus services (consultable on the airports websites). Several trains per day link Milan central railway station to Genoa.

By train

Genova has two main railway stations (Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole).
