The main aim of the “Testing Quantum Foundations in the 2025 Quantum Year” Workshop is to bring forward an interdisciplinary and vibrant dialogue between theoreticians and experimentalists, in an informal and collaborative environment, around key questions in quantum physics, in the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Topics will range from foundational challenges, such as the interplay between gravity and quantum mechanics, collapse models, and the spin-statistics connection, to new experimental and theoretical approaches. Novel ideas and discoveries that explore and harness quantum effects in biological systems, setting the ground for possible transformative applications at the intersection of physics, life sciences, and technology, will be discussed.
