Description

Milgromian dynamics (MOND) is an alternative to non-baryonic cold dark matter, proposed by Moti Milgrom in 1983. MOND modifies the non-relativistic laws of gravity and/or inertia at low accelerations, below a new constant a0 of the order of 10^-10 m/s^2. In this talk, I will review both the successes and challenges that the MOND paradigm faces on the scales of galaxies, galaxy groups, and galaxy clusters. I will also briefly describe some examples of non-relativistic and relativistic Lagrangian MOND theories.
